أَبو إِسحاقَ إِبراهيمُ مِمَّن
تَحامُلُهُ عَلى شِعري قَديمُ
Ibrahim, who criticizes my old poetry
Does he not fear the hell my ideas ignite
أَما يَخشى زَبانِيَةَ القَوافي
إِذا وَقَدَت لِأَفكاري جَحيمُ
When the rhyme schemes flare up
Leave alone the devil of his gossip and my verse
فَدَع شَيطانَ غَيبَتِهِ وَشِعري
فَإشنَّ سَماءَهُ فيها الرُجومُ
For its sky rains stones upon him
