قُم فَاِقبَلِ الكاسَ فَهيَ حُبلى
لِلراحِ في بَطنِها جَنينُ
Rise—take the cup, for she is pregnant,
with wine, an unborn child within her belly.
وَفي مُهودِ الرُبى بَناتٌ
في كُلِّ وَجهٍ لَها عُيونُ
And in the cradles of the hills are daughters;
in every face are eyes of theirs.
وَاِنعَم بِإِسقاطِ كُلِّ هَمٍّ
مِن قَبلِ أَن تَسقُطَ الغُصونُ
Delight in casting off every care
before the boughs themselves fall.
