Our natures are more fragrant than the flowers of the meadow,

And we reckon ourselves brighter than the stars of the sky.

Yet we live in dark tents while darkness is gloomy,

And we are oceans of peace while peace is most floral.

Noble men, when resolve takes sustenance from us,

Exuding for them a fragrance and ambergris.

The land becomes confused by their towering deeds,

Their virtues in all things being far more.

And through us the days are adorned as though we

Are jewelry wrought and gemstones for its steeds.

For had we not been the best of realms, ours would not be

Authority imposed on fate and arrogance.
