1. لا تَذخَرِ المالَ دونَ الحَمدِ مُعتَقِداً

    أَن لَيسَ يُخلِفُهُ إِن ضاعَ صاحِبُهُ

    Do not hoard wealth without giving praise,

    Believing that if its owner perishes, none will replace it.

  2. فَالمالُ يَفنى وَيَفنى مَن يَضِنُّ بِهِ

    وَالحَمدُ يَبقى وَإِن لَم يَبقَ كاسِبُهُ

    For wealth vanishes, as does the miser who clings to it,

    While praise endures, even when the one who offers it is gone.
