1. دَعِ الحِرصَ في الرِزقِ مِهما صَعُب

    وَلا تُكثِرَنَّ لَهُ في الطَلَب

    Leave greed for livelihood no matter how hard

    And do not increase for it much in seeking

  2. وَثِق بِالإِلَهِ وَلا تَيأَسَن

    فَيَتبَعُكَ الحِرصُ كُلَّ التَعَب

    Trust in God, do not despair

    Then greed will follow you all the fatigue

  3. فَرُبِّتَ رِزقٍ يَجيءُ الفَتى

    بِرِجلَيهِ مِن حَيثُ لا يَحتَسِب

    For the young man's sustenance may come

    To his feet from where he does not expect
