تِيهُ عيسى لَم يَدَعهُ

قَطُّ يَسخو بِالكَلامِ

Jesus' wandering never left him

silent, he was always speaking eloquently.

سِفلَةٌ تُعرِضُ عَنّا

دائِماً لا لِاِحتِشامِ

The riffraff turn away from us

continually, not out of modesty.

جازَ بِالأَمسِ عَلَينا

فَتَبَدّى بِالسَلامِ

Yesterday he passed by us

and greeted us with "Peace."

فَتَعَجَّبنا وَقُلنا

رَميَةٌ مِن غَيرِ رامِ

We were astonished and said:

An arrow from an unerring archer.
