1. قَد أَقبَلَ النَبتُ بِاَسماطِهِ

    مِن مِمطَرٍ مِنهُ وَمِن بَرَّكان

    The greenery has come forth with its stems

    From rainfall and from volcanoes

  2. وَاِفتَرَّتِ الأَغصانُ عَن نَرجِسٍ

    مُختَلِطِ الكافورِ بِالزَعفَران

    And branches have uncovered narcissi

    Intertwining camphor with saffron

  3. فَاِستَلِبِ الشَمسَ إِذا ما غَدَت

    تُطلِعُها مِنها بُروجُ الدِنان

    So wrest the sun when it rises

    The constellations make it rise from it

  4. وَالماءُ قَد فاضَ عَلى رَوضِنا

    فَصارَ كَالشَرابِ عَلى المِهرَجان

    And water has overflowed on our meadows

    Making it like drink at festivals
