1. وَشادِنٍ طافَ بِمَشمولَةٍ

    لَو ذاقَها سَكرانُ هَمٍّ صَحا

    A full moon rose carrying the sun of daybreak

    As I left him with the cup in his hand

  2. فَخِلتُهُ وَالكَأسُ في كَفِّهِ

    بَدرَ الدُجى تَحمِلُ شَمسَ الضُحى

    Had he who is drunk with worries tasted it

    He would have circled an orchard
