1. أَبيَضٌ جامِدٌ وَأَحمَرٌ جارِ

    وَاِخضِرارٌ مُرَندَجٌ بِاِصفِرارِ

    White solid and red flowing

    And green interwoven with yellow

  2. مِن كُؤوسٍ لَها كَسىً مِن عُقارِ

    وَغُصونٍ لَه حُلىً مِن بِهارِ

    From cups whose covers are from perfume

    And branches whose jewelry is from blossoms

  3. فَدَعاني إِذا كَشَفتُ قِناعي

    وَاِترُكاني إِذا خَلَعتُ عِذاري

    So it called me when I removed my mask

    And left me when I took off my excuse

  4. لَيسَ لِلمَرءِ إِن أَرادَ سُروراً

    مِثلُ سِحرِ الصَبوحِ في الأَسحارِ

    There is not for a person, if he wants pleasure

    Like the magic of dawn during the dark
