أَسيرُ القَطرِ قَد أَضحى طَليقاً
وَمينا القُضبَ قَد لَبِسَ العَقيقا
The rain's captive has now become free,
And the lance of twigs wears ruby red garb.
وَسُبلُ الجَوِّ مَن يَطلُبُ غَماما
تَجِد مِنهُ بِها الرَطبَ الرَفيقا
And the paths of air, if you seek a cloud,
You will find, through it, gentle drizzle.
فَقُم فَاِشرَب عَلَيهِ فَعَن قَليلٍ
يُريكَ البَرقُ عَنبَرَهُ خَلوقا
So arise and drink from it, and before long
The lightning will show you its molded amber.
