لَمّا حَلَلتُ بِأَرضِ بوسَنا

وَاِنجَلَت تَلكَ المَنايِرُ

When I entered the land of Bosnia

And those minarets appeared

أَيقَنتُ أَنّي وَسطَ أَلطافِكُم

ما تَستَبينُ بِهِ السَرائِرُ

I was certain, amidst your kindness

Secrets are not concealed

ما نالَ ما قَد نِلتَهُ

مِنكُم لَعَمري أَيَّ زائِرُ

None has attained what

I attained from you, by my life O visitor!

فَأَنا الحَقيقُ بِأَن أَتي

هِ إِذا أَرَدتُ وَأَن أُفاخِرُ

So I have the right to come

Whenever I want and to boast

قَد كُنتُ طولَ إِقامَتي

ضَيفاً تَحَفَ بِهِ الجَماهِرُ

Throughout my long stay

I was a guest indulged by the masses

أَلقى الحُنُوَّ عَلى الوُجوهِ

عَلَيَّ مِثلَ الشَمسِ ظاهِرُ

Finding affection on the faces

Evident on me like the sun

إِنَّ الوُجوهَ مِنَ الرِجالِ

لَنِعمَ عِنوانِ الضَمائِرُ

Surely, men’s faces

Are the best reflection of consciences

وَرَأَيتُ وَجهَكَ كَيفَما

أَقبَلتَ يَنظُرُ وَهوَ سافِرُ

And I saw your face, wherever

You came looking while traveling

وَالعَطفُ إِن حَلَّ الفُؤادُ

غَدَت تُؤَكِّدُهُ النَواظِرُ

And sincerity, if it fills the heart

It is affirmed by sights

فَأَنا مُحِبُّكَ ما حييتُ

وَشاكِرٌ أَبَداً لِشاكِرُ

So I love you as long as I live

And I'm forever thankful, O grateful one
