نعم نعم خيرُ موضوعٍ سمِعتُ بِه

نعم نعم خيرُ موضوعٍ سمِعتُ بِه

وإنَّني به مَسرُورٌ ومُفتَخِرُ

وإنَّني به مَسرُورٌ ومُفتَخِرُ

Yes, yes—the finest resting place I have heard tell of.

And truly, I rejoice in it and take pride.

فلِلحَديثِ لأَنصارٌ تُؤَيِّدُه

فلِلحَديثِ لأَنصارٌ تُؤَيِّدُه

كما القديمُ له قَومٌ قدِ انتصَروا

كما القديمُ له قَومٌ قدِ انتصَروا

For the modern school has champions who uphold it,

Just as the old has its own adherents, who have prevailed.

وها أنا لَكُما مُصغٍ ومُستَمِعٌ

وها أنا لَكُما مُصغٍ ومُستَمِعٌ

فابدا عليكَ سلامُ اللهِ يا عُمَرُ

فابدا عليكَ سلامُ اللهِ يا عُمَرُ

And here I am, attentive to you both and listening.
