With time, wounds start to heal

And after night, dawn breaks through

Before us came a people, now gone

Though bitter waters may get muddied

If anyone has ever wronged you

Let your tenderness be the balm

Say to me, O righteous friend

Is this jest or mockery from you?

In grasping Him, minds grow perplexed

And tongues falter, trying to speak

    Opponents have attained their goal

When outright lies are seen as truth

They said passion is forbidden to us

But if just, they'd say 'tis permitted
