عنكمُ قولاً وفِعلا

This is indeed a matter far

beyond you, in word and deed.

لا تُحدِّث عن فريقٍ

لا تُحدِّث عن فريقٍ

بَعدَ أن ضلَّ وأضَلا

بَعدَ أن ضلَّ وأضَلا

Do not speak of a faction

after it strayed and led others astray.

إنما الطَّيشُ مُصَابٌ

إنما الطَّيشُ مُصَابٌ

وهوَ فيهم قد تجلَّى

وهوَ فيهم قد تجلَّى

Rashness is nothing but an affliction,

and in them it has plainly shown itself.
