1. بِكُم شِعري على غَيري فَخورُ

    وكم زانت قَلائدَها النُّحورُ

    With you my poetry prides over others

    And how its necklaces adorned the throats

  2. إذا ما قيل مَن رَبُّ البَرايا

    مَزايا فالأكُفُّ لَكُم تُشيرُ

    When asked who is the Lord of mankind

    Virtues point to you the palms

  3. بِإبراهيمَ تَفتخرُ المَعالي

    فما كُفءٌ سِواهُ بها جَديرُ

    With Ibrahim glories are boasted

    None equivalent to him is worthy

  4. إذا ما رُمتُ وصفَه في قَريضي

    يَقولُ الشِّعرُ ذا شيءٌ عسيرُ

    When I attempt describing him in verse

    Poetry says this is an arduous task

  5. فَعَجزى ظاهرٌ في وصفِ كُلٍّ

    ولكن وصفَها الطَّرفُ الحَسيرُ

    My incapability is evident in describing all

    But his description saddens the eyes

  6. أَيُمكِن حال إِشراقٍ لِشَمس

    يُحَدِّدُ وَصفها الطَّرفُ الحَسيرُ

    Can the dazzled eyes depict the radiant sun?

    His description saddens the eyes

  7. ووَصفُ البَحرِ للرَّائي مُحالٌ

    عنِ التَّحديدِ قد جَلَّت بُحورُ

    And the sea’s depiction is impossible

    For the beholder, its depths are concealed

  8. إذا ما النَّاس طينَتُهم تُرابٌ

    فإبراهيمُ طينَتُه الشُّعورُ

    While people are of clay

    Ibrahim is of sentiments

  9. يُمازِجُها حَياءٌ في وقارٍ

    وأخلاقٌ يفاوِحُها العَبيرُ

    Intermingled with shyness and dignity

    Whose fragrance is diffused

  10. به قَرَّت عيونُ الناسِ طُراًّ

    وأقوى الناسِ مولانا الأميرُ

    With him people’s eyes are delighted

    And the strongest of people is our Prince

  11. فلو شاهدتَه يُثني عليه

    بأوصافٍ هي المِسكُ العطيرُ

    If you saw him praising him

    With attributes that are fragrant musk

  12. وأوصافُ المًلوكِ مُلوكُ وصفٍ

    شَهادتُهم تُضيءُ بها السُّطُورُ

    And the attributes of kings are kings of attributes

    Their testimonies illuminate the lines

  13. رَأى منهُ خديماً لا يُضاهَى

    يُبَرهِنُ عن محبَّتهِ البُرورُ

    He saw in him an unparalleled servant

    Whose devotion the proofs demonstrate

  14. رأى روحاً تَسير بدونِ جِسمٍ

    لِشِدَّةِ ما بها لعِبَ السُّرورُ

    He saw a soul walking without a body

    Due to the extreme joy that amused it

  15. تمنَّى لو يُفَرِّشُ وجنتَيهِ

    لِمَولانا المُؤَيَّدِ إذ يَزورُ

    He wished to lay his cheeks

    For our master the supported when he visits

  16. كذا الإخلاصُ عندَ ذويهِ دوماً

    يَكون لَدى اللِّقَاءِ له ظُهورُ

    Such is the loyalty of his people always

    It surfaces upon meeting him

  17. أيا فخرَ المزَاوِرِ من شُبولٍ

    حَوالي خَيسهِم أسَدٌ هَصُورُ

    Oh pride of the visitors from Shubul

    Around Khaisam a young lion resides

  18. تَباركَ من حَباكَ سَدادَ رأي

    وعَزماً ليس يَعروهُ فُتورُ

    Blessed is He who created your composure

    And resolve that no weakness makes it languid

  19. وسِرّاً كامِناً في حُسنِ خلقٍ

    كما فاحت منَ الروضِ الزُّهورُ

    And a secret inherent in good manners

    As the flowers' fragrance diffused from the meadow

  20. وشُكراً سيدي شكراً على ما

    تُخَصِّصُني به إني شَكورُ

    And thank you my master, thank you for what

    You grant me, I am grateful

  21. فما أنا ناسياً ما دُمتُ حيًّا

    جميلاً بل وإن حلَّ النُشورُ

    I shall not forget as long as I live

    However long the resurrection is delayed

  22. ولا تحفل بِشعرٍ غير شِعري

    فشاعِرُكُم وخادِمُكم غَيورُ

    And don’t mind poetry other than mine

    For your poet and servant is jealous

  23. بلى كيفَ اصطبارُ أخي لالٍ

    وقد ألفَى لها نَحراً يُنيرُ

    Yes, how can my brother Lali endure

    When an illuminating throat is found for it

  24. فدُمتَ لِكٌُلِّ عِزٍّ واغتِباطٍ

    ودامَ لِحفظِكَ المولى النَّصيرُ

    So you remain for all glory and joy

    And the Guardian remains for your protection
