ويوَم عَجنِ جِسمهِ

لِكَى يَصيرَ بَشرَا

And the day they kneaded his body

To make him human

لم يَجِدوا في السُّوقِ مِلحاً

يُشتَرى أو سُكَّرا

They could not find salt in the market

To buy, or sugar

فجاءَ لا طَعمَ لَهُ

كَقِطعَةِ منَ الخ

So he came with no flavor

Like a piece of wood
