آهِ بُشرى لنا بِعودَة بَاشَا

نا التِّهامي الهمَام ضَيغَمِ غابِ

Ah! Good tidings of Pasha's return

The honorable hero of glory has come back

عاد مستَبشرا بِعزٍّ وجَاهٍ

وشفُوفٍ وحُظوَةٍ للجنَابِ

He came back delighted with might and prestige

Generosity and royal welcome of the eminent

إنه إنه الهمَام المُفدَّى

واسعُ الجودِ دائمُ التّرحابِ

Indeed, he is the honorable most cherished one

Vastly generous, always gracious

طبَّقَ الكونَ صيتُهُ وتسَامت

في سمَا فخرِهِ رواسِي القِبَابِ

His fame spread the universe and reached

The pinnacles of pride in the sky's dome

يا هُماما بل يا أجلَّ هُمَامِ

مُستَحِقّ للِفخرِ والإعجَابِ

O most honorable of the honorable

Worthy of pride and admiration

ونَبيلاً بِه زَمَانُه بَاهي

كلَّ عَصرٍ من سَالِف الأحقَابِ

An era takes pride in his nobility

Like each past age of eras

غِبتَ عني وأنتَ إنسانُ عينِي

فتركتَ الأحشاءَ ذاتَ اضطرابِ

You were away from me, o man of my heart

Leaving my heart perturbed

ثم ألفيتني الخديمَ دَواما

مُخلِصا واقِفا بعَتبَة بَابِ

Then I found you always my loyal servant

Waiting faithfully at my door

والعظيمُ العظيمُ يَدري ذوِي الإخ

لاصِ عن بُعدِ دارِهم واقتِرَابِ

The great one knows the loyal ones

Far from home or drawing near
