أُتركوهُ يَهذي فإنَّ كلامَهُ

يَقظةً لا يُفيدُ كيف مَنامه

Leave him be, for his awake-talk

Brings no benefit, how then his dream?

كذَّبوهُ وآمِنوا بِكتِابِ ال

لَهِ إن رُمتُم سبيلَ السلامَه

Deny him and believe in the Book of God

If you desire the path of peace for him

سَفِّهوهُ فليسَ يعلمُ إلا ال

لَهُ يوماً تقومُ فيه القِيامَه

Deem him foolish, for he knows nothing but

The dreams that come to him each night

عجباً فالنَّبِيُّ قال لِجبري

لَ أنا ما عَلِمتُ إلا العَلامَه

Strange that the Prophet said to Gabriel

I know nothing except what is revealed to me

والنّؤومُ المُوَقِّتُ اليومَ يدعُو

نا لِتَعيين وقتِها بالمَنامَه

Yet this dreamer claims to know the time

Appointed by his dreams for Judgment Day

لَيتَهُ ما أفاق من نَومِهِ إذ

أقعدَ الشَّعبَ فِتنةً واَقامَه

If only he'd not woken from his sleep and

Set the people astray, establishing his dream

عاثَ في الغابِ أيها الملكُ الصِّن

ديدُ قِردٌ وأنتَ فيه أُسامَه

O mighty King, a baboon in the jungle

Runs amok while you slumber unaware

فَتقدَّم له فأنتَ ملاذُ ال

عِلمِ والدِّينِ كَسِّرَنَّ عِظامَه

Go to him, for you are the fortress of

Knowledge and faith, break his bones apart

أيُّ وجهٍ يراهُ منكَ رسولُ اللهِ

في النومِ يا مثالًَ الذَّمامَه

What face of the Prophet appears to you

In dreams, O finest example of the vulture?

حاشا لِلَّهِ أن يكونَ رسولُ اللهِ

أوصاكَ أن تَقُصَّ كَلامَه

God forbid the Prophet instructed you

To shorten his words as you have done

بَلَّغَ العِترَةُ المُطَهَّرَةُ القُر

آنَ عنه وبيَّنوا أحكامَه

The purified Family conveyed the Quran

Explaining its rules on his behalf

لم يَمُت قبلَ أن يُتمِّمَ معنى الدينِ

أو يَبتَنِي صُروحَ الفَخامَه

Before he passed, completing the religion

Or building castles of glory for himself

فنَمِ اليومَ كَى تَرى غَيرَ ما قُلتَ

وإلاَّ فقد عَدِمتَ الكَرامَه

Sleep now, and see not as you have claimed

Lest you be stripped of any honor
