O you who roam with a crutch

Gently, for in my heart roams the crutch

Leave it to your Lord alone and to you

Our bodies, so do with them what you will

My deep sorrow is not for it, but rather

For the eye of virtue that weeps

Soon we will forget what is past

God decrees what He wills and prevents what He wills

And my dear friend will return to his state

With his activity and joy he will delight
