قالُوا فُلانٌ قد أتانَا خَاطِبا

قُلتُ وفي أيِّ الرجَالِ يَخطبُ

They said so-and-so has come to us proposing

قالُوا بلَى يَخطبُ بِنتا عندَنَا

قُلتُ دعُوا المزَاحَ عنكُم واذهبُوا
