I think the full moon was confused
When your beauty shone through
And the slender boughs bent down
When you approached wearing your veil
And that the gazelle is the victim
Of your coy and glancing eye
So these three are lost and perplexed
Your face is virtue itself
Tempting hearts to sin
They are consumed with longing for you
Yearning and sleepless cares
So do not deny the destitute your alms
For to share your beauty is an obligation
Have you not gathered in your contraries
A wondrous and perfect beauty
Needing no other adornment
A brow containing dawn and dusk
And a cheek containing water and fire
And eyelids suffering from every malady
Yet in their languor lies a fragile charm
