Do you hear what the breeze whispers to you

Enchantingly when the hot wind sends it?

It tells that the people of Jiz' have departed

So its scent has been lost.

They walked on it, so the soil became musk

And the dwellings and ruins were perfumed.

    It kissed their feet passionately

For it is their old companion.

The meadow inclined from ecstasy and became

Adorned by the pigmentation of the gardens.

When a branch sways, a straight, firm branch

    Of twisted branches,

The moons of beauty shine on it

With their swaying like stars upon it.

O people of Jiz', has the time passed

That will return? For your love remains.

The desolate sands will be crowned by you

With an orderly pearl necklace on them.

So my heart after your absence is yearning

Melancholy, and love is burning in it.
