Days bear no rancour
You brought us to the peak of nobility
In your abodes we saw
Stars of beauty that never set
Suns rose over them
On swaying boughs amid the dunes
Each upright, shapely lad appeared
Under a buzzing hive
The non-Arabs sang eloquently of them
After their wailing in rapture
And frolicked in the meadow dancing
The daughter of generosity danced playfully
All of you, your faces
Are radiant like meteors
Even the doves are fascinated by you
That is the most wondrous of wonders
And after the moons rose from you
Veiled in coverlets
