يَنشَرحُ الصَّدرُ لِمَن لاعَبَني

والأرضُ بي ضَيَّقةٌ فُروجُها

My heart opens for the one who played with me

And the earth to me, her expanses are narrow

كَم شَوَّشَت شيُوشها عَقلي وَكَم

عَهداً سَقَتني عامِداً بنُوجُها

How her allurements have distracted my mind

And for how long has she made me drink her cups intentionally
