O lightening flash from the permanent hills

Describe to the people of passion my fervor and yearnings

And O breeze of the branches of acacia

Has what passed in passion, after purpose, come

As if in you is the fragrance of a repressed land

So have you passed by those slopes

And they carried to you messages - how woeful!

For them and for those messages

Turn aside and call greetings to the sincere ones, their abode

So that I may soothe my heart with greetings

And ask the sand dunes of the valley, the people of Khatrat

Their tents with the lofty Samhar poles

For the mute may answer you quickly

About them, though but with gestures
