قَلبي ذَهَبت لِبعُدكُم راحَتُهُ

ما الصَّبرُ على بِعادكُم عادَتهُ

My heart has lost all comfort being away from you

Patience for your absence does not come naturally

بِنتُم فَرثَى لِمَا بِه شامِتهُ

لا كانَ فراقُكُم وَلا ساعَتُهُ

You left me miserable for all that has befallen me

Neither your departure nor its timing were welcome
