وَحَقِّكمُ لا غيَرَ البُعدُ حُبكم

ولو تلفِت روحي وَزادَ غَرامي

By your right, nothing but distance is my love for you

Even if my soul withers and my passion grows

وإِنَّكمُ عِندي وإِن طالَ هَجركُم

حَضُورٌ لكم في القلبِ دارُ مُقامِ

You are with me even if your absence is long

A dwelling for you remains in my heart

وَلولاكمُ ما عِشتُ يوماً لأَنَّكم

غِذائي وَذكري دائِماً وَمُدامي

Without you I would not have lived a day

For you are my food, my eternal drink

وأنتمُ إلى عَيني أَلذُّ من الكَرى

ولو لبثت دَهراً بغيرِ مَنامش

You are sweeter to my eyes than visions

Even if I remained an epoch without sleep

كما أنَّكم أَشهى إلى كبدي من ال

فراتِ الزُّلالِ دهراً بغيرِ مَنامِ

Just as you are most craved by my liver

Than the clear Euphrates for an epoch without sleep

هويتكُمُ في عالمِ الذَّر فاغتدَت

بحُبكمُ روحي غذاءَ دوامي

I fell for you in the world of particles

So my soul found sustenance in loving you

ومازجتكم عند الوُدودِ فأشربَت

محبتُكم من مُهجتي وَعظِامي

I mingled with you among the affectionate

So your love drank from my marrow and bones

فلو قيلَ لي أَينَ الذينَ تحبُّهم

مَحبَّةَ إِرضاعِ بغيرِ فِطامِ

If I were told where are those you love

With the love of suckling without weaning

لَقُلتُ أَنا هُم دائِماً وَهُمُ أَنا

فهذا اعِتقادي فِيكمُ وكَلامي

I would say it's me always and it's them always
