لكَ حالة في حُبِّ ليلى ساءتِ

Don't be deceived - it's healing is not for you,

You whose love-sick state for Layla worsened!

ما للعواذلِ ألزمُوني ذَنبَهم

هل غيرُ ليلى والغرامِ إِساءَتي

Why do they blame me for the lovers' sins?
