Our bond was true, though faults seemed to appear,

We turned a blind eye focused on good conscience.

Whenever the envious tried to sow discord,

We remained forgiving, not holding grudges.

In causing tension and separation between us.

Or a jester’s joke that failed to last.

Our love from my own wavering ways.

But all strange and wondrous things,

Come from the actions of this confused lover.

My reward is the forgiveness of the pardoner.

Until you see again happy clouds gathering,

Returning vitality to our barren garden.

Supplying knowledge to the ignorant wanderer.

It does not mar the beauty seen by others.

I welcomed you like family, generous and kind.
