قُسمت فقسمُ اوسطٌ خصُّوا بِه

العجماءَ ثم عواجلاً وقطارا

It was divided, so the middle part was distinguished

With rough terrain, then smooth roads and rails

وعلى جناحَيهِ لسير بني الورى

قسمانِ قد وصفوهما احجارا

And on its two sides for people to walk

Two parts described with stones

رصفاً بإِحجامٍ يريح ذوي الضنى

لا يختشي فيهِ الضريرُ عثرا

Laid with sizes that comfort the needy

Where the blind man does not fear stumbling

خلصت من الاوحال والارجاس لا

يطأُ المشاةُ بخطوهم اقذرا

Free from mud and filth, no

Passerby steps on something dirty

أبداً يُرَشُّ صعيدها بمضخَّةٍ

رشاًّ رفيقاً لن يُثيرَ غبارا

Always sprayed with a sprinkler

A gentle spray that will not stir up dust

يغدو الهواءُ بها بليلاً منعشاً

يقصي الهجير ويدفع الإِعصارا

The air around it is at night refreshing

Repelling hot winds and gusts
