The source of daring, zeal, virtue, nobility is sincere love

Since Aristotle said it contains glory's treasure chest

A fresh spring whose wisdom protects it from the ignorant

The base minded may scorn it, but the adept hold it high

Let detractors say what they will about me

I live on, lover, as long as lovers live
