لَم تَخل أَفعالُنا اللاتي نَذل بِها

إِحدى ثَلاث خِصال في مَعانيها

Our actions which we take pride in

Are one of three moral qualities in their meanings

إِما تَفرد مَولانا بصنعتها

فَاللَومُ يَسقُط عَنا حينَ نَأتيها

Either our Master initiated them alone

So blame falls from us when we do them

اِو كانَ يَشكُرُنا فَاللَومُ يَلحَقه

إِن كانَ يَلحقنا من لائِم فيها

Or he was thanking us so blame attaches to him

If any blamer blames us regarding them

أَو لَم يَكُن لِإِلهي في جنايَتِها

صُنع فَما الصُنعُ إِلا ذَنب جانيها

Or my God had no role in its crime

So the doer is the only one to blame
