اِذا ما خَلَوت الدَهر يَوماً فَلا تَقُل

خَلَوت وَلكِن قُل عَلي رَقيب

If ever life's hardships make you taste loneliness,

Say not 'I'm lonely,' but say, 'The Lord's with me.'

فَلا تَحسَبَنَّ اللَهَ يَغفَل ساعَة

وَلا أَن ما يَخفى عَلَيهِ يَغيبُ

Do not assume God is ever unwatchful,

Nor that He's unaware of all you conceal.
