أَضاءَ بِأَنوار البُدور بُروجُ

وَأَينَع مِن ماء السُرور مُروجُ

The mansions shone with lights

And the meadows thrived with the water of joy

وَلِلصَدر إسماعيل في مَصر أَشرَقَت

شُموس تَهانٍ بِالنُفوس تَموج

For Ismail's chest in Egypt there dawned

Suns that sway souls

وَقَد نَشر البُشرى بِإِحياء سنّة

يِليها زَواج بِالبَنين يَروج

And good news spread with the revival of the tradition

Followed by marriage with children frolicking

وَفي هَذِهِ الأَوطان هَبّ نَسيمها

وَقَد عطّر الأَكوان مِنهُ أَريج

And in these lands its breeze blew

Having perfumed the cosmos with its fragrance

فَقُلت أَهنيه بِذاك مؤرخاً

ختانٌ لِأَبناء العَزيز بِهيج

So I said, congratulating him on the date

A celebration for the dear son's circumcision
