O wise ones, advise me with your knowledge

Of a name by which the pearls of the noble are strung

Wrought of silver so white and of gold that glows warm

And of iron that binds and makes conflicts succumb

And of copper so finely wrought for all to enjoy

Be they Arab or foreigner, peasant or lord
