لَكَ السَعد مِن صَدر الصُدور المؤيدِ
سَعيد المَساعي الداوريِّ الممجدِ
You have all the joy from the core of sincere hearts O supporter
Happy in your honored, victorious endeavors
رآك جَديراً بِالمَعالي فَساقَها
إِلَيكَ عَلى رَغم الحَسود المفنّد
He saw you worthy of glories so He brought them to you
Despite the envy of slanderers laid low
فَشرّفتها بِالفَضل مِنكَ فَأَصبَحَت
تُباهي بِكَ الأَخدانَ في كُل مقعد
You have ennobled them with your merit so they have become
Boasting of you to friends in every session
وَما مثلها في حلة العلم وَالذَكا
عروس تحلّت في الزَفاف بعسجد
None like it in the garb of knowledge and intelligence
A bride adorned with jewels on her wedding day
فَيا واحد الدُنيا وَيا دَوحة الوَفا
وَيا دُرّة تَزهو بعقد منضّد
O unique one of the world, oasis of loyalty
Pearl shining with a bejeweled necklace
وَيا مَن تَعالى في الوَرى بِبَراعة
وَحَزم وَمَجد شامخ وَمشيد
O eminent one, lofty in the world with skill
Wisdom, glory, towering might
وَأنسى إياساً وابن هاني وَكُلَّ من
يَلين لِما يُبديه رَب المهند
Surpassing Iyas and Ibn Hani and all who
Succumb to what the Lord of mankind relates
وَيا خَير مَن فاق الأَنام بحكمة
وَصدق وَعرفان وَرأي مسدد
Best of men, excelling all in wisdom
Honesty, gratitude and sound opinion
وَأَحيا لَنا عَبدَ الحَميد بِنَثره
وَقَد هذب الإنشا بِأَعذَب مَورد
You gave life to Abd al-Hamid in prose
Having refined poetry to a most limpid spring
تَهنَّأ عَلى طُول الزَمان بِرُتبة
بِكَ اِرتَفعت لا بالبها وَالزبرجد
Congratulations for an age with the office
Elevated by you, not for pomp and finery
وَقابل محيّا بكر فكري بفرحة
فَذَلِكَ يا مَولاي غاية مَقصدي
Receive the delighted Bakr al-Fikri
For that, my lord, is the goal of my desire
فَلا زلت تَرقى رُتبة بَعد رُتبة
وَتَحظى بِإِقبال وَعز وَسؤدد
You ascend in rank after rank
Enjoy favor, honor and help against aggressors
وَلا زلت مَشكور المَساعي مُوفَّقاً
إِلى الخَير مَنصوراً عَلى كُل مُعتد
Still appreciated in your efforts, granted success
To good, victorious over every transgressor
نَديماً لِهَذا الداوري مقرّباً
بَعيداً عَن الأَعدا مُبيداً لحُسَّد
Boon companion to this Dauri, drawn near
Far from enemies, destroying enviers' schemes
وَلا بَرح الإقبال يُبدي مؤرّخاً
مَواكب عز أَشرَقَت لِمحمد
Fate continues relating the annals
Of glory's advancing entourage for Muhammad
