بسمت ثُغور مسرّة وَأَمانِ

في مصر فابتهجت بنيل أَماني

Smiling faces rejoiced in hope and peace

In Egypt, made joyful by the Nile of fulfilled desires

وَسَعيدها بختان شبل جنابه

أَحيا مَواسم سُنَّة الإيمان

And its good fortune in the youthful lion Cub of his clan

Who revived the seasons of faith’s tradition

وَعَبيد دَولته السَنية بادروا

لِرسوم تَشريف حَليف تهاني

And the servants of his fair state were quick

To perform the rites of honoring an ally of congratulations

وَالكُل أَخلَص في الدُعاء مؤملاً

طُول البَقاء لَهُ مَدى الأَزمان

And all prayed sincerely, hoping

For his long lasting life through the ages

وَالسَعد في الأَفراح قالَ مؤرِّخاً

طوسن زَها بِبَهاء عز ختان

And good fortune in times of joy, said the historian

Its beauty shone brilliantly with the magnificence of its celebration
