لَما بَدَت شَمسُ البَها مِن راغبٍ
في شَهر شَعبان بِذاتٍ فاتنهْ
When the sun of splendor rose from Rāghib,
in the month of Shaʿbān, in a captivating form,
وَافى وَأَنشده السُرور مؤرِّخاً
بُشراك إِسماعيل حلت آمنهْ
joy came and recited to him this chronogram:
“Glad tidings, Ismāʿīl—Āmina has arrived.”
