لِمَحمود المَعالي وَالمَكارمْ

سَليل السادة الطهر الأَكارمْ

For Mahmoud of glory and virtues,

Scion of lords, the purest of the noble,

مسرّة وَالد بطلوع بَدر

مُنير ثَغره في مَصر باسم

Delight of a father at the rising of a full moon

Illuminating his visage in Egypt, called

يَقول وَقَد بَدا لِلمَجد أَرّخ

ضِياء محمد صبحي مرادم

He says, having dated the glory,

The light of Muhammad Sabhi Murad
