لَما استرحنا مِن صُعود العَقَبَهْ

وَنال كُل في التَهاني أَرَبَهْ

When we rested from climbing the heights

And each received congratulations for his feat

وَوَاحد الدَهر سَعيدُ مَصرِه

أَزال عَن قَلب الحَجيج كرَبَهْ

And the times were propitious for the fortunate pilgrim

It removed from the hearts of the pilgrims their distress

وَقَد أَعدّ البحر دُون برّه

لرحلة مَفروضة مكتتبَهْ

And the sea made ready before the shore

For an obligatory journey already booked

وَاهتمّ في رَفاهة العباد

بِرأفة لِغَيره مُكتَسَبهْ

And he was concerned for the comfort of his subjects

With kindness not acquired for others’ sake

وَجنده في المحمل الشَريف قَد

نظم بِالميدان مِنهُ مَوكبَهْ

And his army on the noble transport

Was arranged on the field in a ceremonial procession

وَقَد سَعى ذا المَوكب المنيف

بِهِ عَلى عربة منتصبَهْ

And this graceful procession strove

To carry him on a dais erected

عَربة بَديعة أَنشأها

برسمه في هَيئة منتخبهْ

A wondrous dais constructed

In a specially selected form

أَرّختها في عَصره العَزيز

أَسس للمحمل أَسنى عَرَبَهْ

Its date in his glorious reign recorded

He laid the noblest foundation for the transport
