لِجَنابك العالي ثلاثُ مَصالحٍ
نظمت بسمطي عسجد ولجينِ
For Your Excellency there are three departments
I organized with my authority, diligence and care
وَأَضاء مِنك جَبينها برياسة
أَعمالُها مَنشورة العلمينِ
And its leadership shone brightly from you
Its works are published far and wide
وَنمت بِها برَكاتُ أَوقافٍ رَوَت
مَصراً وَقَد فاضَت عَلى الحرمين
And through it the blessings of endowments flowed
Watering Egypt, even overflowing the Two Holy Places
وَبحزمك الأشغال زادَ نَجاحُها
وَنجازها في السَهل وَالجبلين
And with your wisdom its tasks gained success
And its accomplishments on plains and in mountains
وَلكَ المَعارف غرّدت أَبناؤُها
بِمَدائح الأَجداد وَالأَبوين
And for you education, its students sang joyfully
With praises of ancestors and parents
وَبَديع نَظم كامل في كامل
مِن مُخلص بِالقَلب وَالشفتين
And excellent, perfect composition by one perfect
Sincere at heart and with his lips
مِن مُخلص لَكَ بِالثَناء بِدَولة
أَضحيت فيها حائزَ الشرفين
One loyal to you with praise in a state
In which you gained the two honors
حيث انتميت إِلى مليك محسن
في مَصر أَحيا سنةَ العُمَرين
When you joined a beneficent King in Egypt
Who revived the era of the two Umar
وَسَعيت في طَلب العُلوم فَفُزت مِن
تَحصيلها بِنَفائس البلدين
And you sought knowledge and succeeded in obtaining
Its treasures from both countries
وَأَتيت في حلل الوَقار بحكمة
أَنوارها سطعت عَلى الحكمين
And you came in robes of dignity with wisdom
Whose light shone on the wise
وَمشاكل التَفتيش أَنتَ دفعتها
عَنهُ بِإِنصاف إِلى الطرفين
And the problems of inspection you averted
From him with justice to both sides
وَمُذ اِستَقام عَلى الصِراط وَكلتَه
بِإرادة لمزاولِ العملين
And since you proceeded straight and entrusted him
With determination to undertake the two tasks
وِبِكَ الدَواوين الثَلاثة ضَوؤُها
أَربى بِرونقه عَلى القمرين
Through you the three departments, their light
Grew brighter, excelling the two moons
وَتَبسمت لَمّا ملكت قِيادها
لِبلوغها بِكَ غاية الأَملين
And it smiled when it attained under your leadership
The pinnacle of both hopes
