1. لِلملك عيد لَهُ العيد الكَبير تَلا

    وَمَجدُه لِلتَهاني في السَعيد تَلا

    The king has a feast, a grand feast is his

    And his glory, for congratulations, the auspicious inspires

  2. هُوَ العَزيز الَّذي أَضحى بِدَولته

    في مَصر بِالعَدل وَالإِحسان مُحتفلا

    He is the mighty one who sacrificed his kingdom

    In Egypt, with justice and kindness celebrating

  3. هُوَ الَّذي سَيفُه المَشهور في يَده

    عَلى رِقاب الأَعادي يَسبق العَذَلا

    He whose famed sword is in his hand

    Over the heads of enemies preceding fate

  4. هُوَ الَّذي جَيشه المَنصور بايعَهُ

    عَلى ثَبات بِهِ قَدرُ الكَميِّ عَلا

    He whose victorious army pledged allegiance to him

    For its steadfastness, the value of perfection rose

  5. هُوَ الَّذي صير الباغي بِصَولته

    في كُل مُعترك بَينَ الوَرى مَثَلا

    He who defeated the rebel with his might

    In every battlefield among humanity an example made

  6. يا أَيُّها الملك المسعود طالعه

    وَمَن بِهِ بَلغت أَوطانهُ الأَمَلا

    O joyous king, auspicious is your rising star

    And with it, your lands their hopes fulfilled

  7. أَنت الَّذي بِكَ هَذا الجَيش قَد مَلأت

    أسوده الضارِياتُ السَهل وَالجَبَلا

    You, with whom this army has filled

    Its roaring lions the plain and mountain alike

  8. وَأَمطَرَت مِن سَما الهَيجا مَدافعُه

    عَلى رؤوس العِدا في أَرضهم كُلَلا

    And its cannons rained from battle’s angry sky

    Upon the heads of enemies in their own land destruction

  9. فَكُلَّما لاحَ في البيدا لهم شبحٌ

    تَوهموا أَنَّهُ حتفٌ بِهم نَزلا

    So whenever a specter appeared to them in the waste

    They imagined it death upon them descended

  10. كَيفَ النَجاة وَكُل في هَزيمته

    عَن الطَريق إِلى أَحيائِهِ ذَهلا

    How to survive when all in their defeat

    From the path to their settlements bewildered fled

  11. أَنتَ الَّذي لا تبارَى في مناضلة

    وَلا يُجاريك ذو بَأس إِذا حَمَلا

    You whom none rivals in battle

    Nor any mighty one when you charge matches

  12. أَنتَ الَّذي لَكَ رُمح في النحور لَهُ

    طَعنٌ يُقرّب مِن أَخصامك الأَجَلا

    You whose spear in chests a stab

    That brings your foes closer to their death has

  13. أَنتَ الَّذي إِن دَنا المَريخ مِنكَ هَوى

    وَنجمُه في مَيادين الوَغى أَفَلا

    You before whom if Mars drew near, it fell

    And its star in the arenas of conflict dimmed

  14. فَلو تَمثلت في حَرب لِعَنترةٍ

    لَفَرّ عَن جُنده رُعباً وَما وَأَلا

    If you appeared in the war of Antarah

    Terrified, his soldiers would flee and not stand

  15. وَلَو زَحفت إِلى الأبطال مُنفَرِداً

    لانفلَّ جَمعهمُ مِن قَبل أَن تَصلا

    And if alone you marched to the heroes

    They would scatter before you arrived

  16. وَفارَقوا الأَهل وَالأَوطان وَاِغتَنَمت

    رِجالُك المال وَالأَسلاب وَالحللا

    And leave their families and homelands while your men

    Seized the riches, clothes and spoils

  17. أَنتَ الَّذي عَزَّ مَن وَاليته وَصَفا

    لَهُ الزَمان وَعدّوه مِن النُبلا

    You who empowered those loyal

    While time and its enemies from the noble disgraced

  18. وَذل مَن لَم تَكُن مَولاه فَاضطربت

    أَحواله وَغدا في الأَسر مُعتَقَلا

    And humiliated those not your patron, in disarray

    Their lives became, imprisoned

  19. أَنتَ الَّذي تُرتجَى في شدة وَرَخا

    لِكَشف كَرب وَبَذلٍ غَيثُه هَطلا

    You in hardship and comfort alike relied upon

    To relieve distress, a downpour of aid unleashed

  20. فَكُن لِأَبناء عَصر أَنت أَوحده

    حُصناً مَنيعاً يَردّ الخَصمَ مُنجَدِلا

    Be then for the sons of this era of which you alone

    A strong fortress to drive back the enemy battered

  21. لا زلت في الملك يا أَسنى الأَنام أَبا

    بِالنَصر مَع شبلك المَحفوظ مُشتَمِلا

    Still for the king - O finest of men - the father

    With victory, along with your protected cub, I remain

  22. ما عادَ عيد وَفي حُسن الدُعا لَكُما

    كُلٌّ تَوجه لِلرَحمَن مُبتَهِلا

    No longer a feast where in prayer for you both

    All turn to the Merciful imploring

  23. أَو قالَ مَجدي بِإِخلاص يُؤرخه

    عِيد الأَضاحي بِهِ الملك السَعيد حَلا

    Has my pride sincerely chronicled it -

    The Feast of the Sacrifice in it the joyous king arrived
