بِتَوفيق مَولاي في قَلعَتي

بَنيت لِمصري بَيت الرَصَدْ

By the grace of my Master in my fortress

I built an observatory for my destiny

لأرصدَ مِنهُ العدا في الدُجى

وَأَرميهمُ بِشِهاب الكَمد

To observe my enemies in the darkness

And strike them with flames of meteors

وَأَقطَعَ دابرهم عُنوةً

بِجَزم وَجَيش كَثير العَدد

And cut off their retreat by force

With determination and a great army

لما أَنَّ نَجميَ في دَولتي

بِهِ اِقتَرَن السَعد طُول الأَبَد

For when my star in my kingdom

Is aligned with fortune forever

وَطالعُهُ في الوَغى لَم يَزَل

سَعيداً مُقيماً بِبُرج الأَسَد

And its rising in battle has not ceased

To be auspicious, fixed in Leo's station
