1. بَنيت بقلعتي في مَصر بَيتاً

    لأَرصدَ مِنهُ بِاللَيل الأَعادي

    I built in my castle in Egypt a house

    To watch from it at night the enemies

  2. وَأَصليهم وَلَو أَخذوا ذماماً

    مِن المَريخ في يَوم الطراد

    And I will attack them even if they took reins

    From Mars on the day of pursuit

  3. وَهَل أَخشى اللقاء وَلي جُنودٌ

    تذل لَها الفَوارسُ في الجِهاد

    How can I fear the encounter while I have armies

    Whose horsemen humble themselves in holy war?

  4. وَلي في دَولَتي رَأي سَديد

    يَبلغني لَدى الهَيجا مرادي

    And I have in my kingdom a sound opinion

    That reaches for me at tumult my purpose
