نَشأَت فَكُنت لِلعَلياء أَهلا

وَكانَ عَلى حجاك الصَعبُ سَهلا

You were born and became worthy of the noble ones

And the difficult path to your glory became easy

وَكَيفَ وَقَد أَزَلت عَن البَرايا

بِسَيف عُلومك المَشهور جَهلا

How could it not when you removed ignorance

With your famous sword of knowledge

وَأَيدت المَعارف بِاجتهادٍ

سَبقت بخيله شَيخاً وَكَهلا

You supported knowledge with dedication

Excelling both elders and youth

وَقَد أَسست للإنشا أُصولاً

غَدَت آياتها في مصر تُتلى

You established principles of rhetoric

Whose verses in Egypt are recited

وَأَنتَ بِكُل مرتبة جَديرٌ

لِأَنّ مَقامك المَحمود أَعلى

You are worthy of every high rank

For your sublime status is the highest

فَعش متهنئاً بِصفاء وَقَت

عَرائسه عَليك بِمصر تُجلى

So live happily in this illustrious time

Its brides being unveiled for you in Egypt

وَزد جاهاً وَتَبجيلاً وَفَخراً

عَلى طُول المَدى ما اِزددتَ فَضلا

Increase ever more in stature, reverence and pride

The more virtuous you are through time

وَما قالَ الهَنا لي فيكَ أَرخ

سموّك يا رِياض البان أَولى

And Al-Hinnā does not speak falsely of you

Your loftiness, O Reyadh El-Bān, is foremost
