With good praise the nightingales stood on the branches and tiles
Singing glory's chirps that roused my fervor
And they rhymed naught but praise
Of Haydar, crown of rule and glory
A prince, when he tends the Kaaba of his grace
The destitute live in bliss and joy
And if he frowned on a day of wrath and peril
He served the foe the cup of doom from his Indian blade
So one who matched him once with Chosroes or Caesar
We rebuffed that claim with retort
And he who likened the Master to stars is
An ignorant man, astray from the right path
For rainfall is but a droplet of his generosity
And an enraged lion when weighed against grit
Is a soaring ambition above ambition
To which the stubborn stone yields soft
He ennobled the lofty sons and his grace
Rose above the palm, beyond limit
And he remains for people a refuge
Met with thanks and praise
Never did you see him sway from justice
And forbid that the peerless one cling to opposite
Nor was fear roused in his time
By the lion's kin except to reassure from the lion
God has honored him with a Master
Whose glory the brilliant stars know
How can another be praised
When his attributes elude counting and limit?
