أَحمَدُ اللَهَ لِبُشرىً

أَقبَلت عِند العشيِّ

I praise Allah for good tidings

That came at dusk

اِذ حَباني اللَهُ سَبطاً

هو سبطٌ لِلنَبِيِّ

When Allah granted me a grandson

He is a grandson of the Prophet

مَرحَباً ثُمَّتَ أَهلاً

بِغُلامٍ هاشِمِيِّ

Welcome and greetings

To a Hashimite boy

نَبَوِيٍّ عَلَوِيٍّ

حَسَنيٍّ صاحِبِيِّ
