ندٌّ لِفَخر الدَولَةِ اِستِعمالُهُ

قَد زادَ عرفاً من نَسيمِ يَدَيهِ

His use is a boon for the pride of the state

His hands add to its glory like a gentle breeze

فَكَأَنَّما عَجَنوهُ من أَخلاقِهِ

وَكَأَنَّهُ طيبُ الثَناءِ عَلَيهِ

As though he was molded from its very soul

And as though he was its sweetest praise
