وَلَمْ يَدَعْ لِلشَّاعِبِينَ شُعَبَا

إِذْ رَامَتِ الأَحْماس أَلّا تَرْجُبَا

He left no refuge for the helpless ones

When valor resolved not to falter

وَقَلَّدَ الجِيدَ السَفَا وَاسْتَرْجَبَا

قَوْماً رَآهُ في الضَلالِ نُكَّبَا

And girded loins to draw the sword and charge

A people he saw straying in misguidance

وَمَنْ عَصَى اللَّهَ انْتَهَى مُتَبَّبَا

إِذا رَأَى ما آلَ مِمَّا استَجْلَبَا

Whoever disobeys God ends up regretful

When he sees what his own deeds have brought him

لا أَيْنَ فِيهِ قامَ حَتَّى يَغْلِبَا

Nowhere in it can he stand firm to prevail
