يَسُوقُها أَعْيَسُ هَدّارٌ بِبَبْ
إِذَا دَعاها أَقْبَلَتْ لا تَتَّئِب
A pale-gray camel drives her on, a thunderous bellower deep in the chest;
whenever he calls her, she comes forward without lingering,
كَأَن وَرِيدَيْهِ رِشاءٌ خُلُب
as though his two jugular veins were a well-rope of palm fiber.
